Cindy Nell and her husband Clive Roberts hosted a colourful cocktail afternoon for the launch of the Catrice brand in South Africa. Her houndstooth jacket, and his taupe biker jacket captured the personality of their ‘Cosmetix’ company; chic, contemporary but with an edge.
Catrice is a cosmetics brand for the individual, each season they produce on-trend limited edition ‘looks’. Next time you’re in your local Dischem store pop by the Catrice stand as their stock will change every 6 months. Their prices are so great that you have the luxury to experiment with their amazing selection of colours. The ladies loved the variety of lipstick and eye shadow colours from the trendy nudes, hues and classic reds. Catrice products vary from R34.95 for Nail Lacquers to R64.95 for Translucent loose powder.
Clive explained that Catrice is not only an innovative colourful brand but their basics are good quality too; “women really should try the Catrice foundations and not hesitate because of the reasonable prices”. All of the Catrice products are made in Europe, Cindy explained “the price isn’t a sign of the quality, as technology advances products are produced quicker and easier, and that’s why the products are so reasonably priced and the quality is great”.
Make-up Artists demonstrated the make-up on models and one artist told Clive that “the quality is amazing! I am loving this ‘Made to Stay Long Lasting Eyeshadow’ the metallic finish looks great on the skin and it’s so easy to work with too”
Catrice is the ‘Big Sister’ to the Essence brand, where Catrice is more for the “Sex and the City” customers and Essence is the “Gossip Girl” customers. We all know Essence from our local Clicks stores but soon you will find a two meter stand of Essence products in Dischem stores. Filled with a selection of beauty products, for instance they have seven different types of mascara’s so one can only imagine the variety.
They have a fantastic collection of nail products, from nail polish colours, nail art stickers, nail hardener and my favourite for winter, the anti-split nail sealer. Essence products range from R14.95 for lipbalm to R54.95 for illuminating make-up base.
So for those Lady Gaga nails and Katy Perry colours stay indoors this winter and experiment with Catrice and Essence.
