  7. Kumari, i so love reading about women growing and CONQUERING even the smallest of hardships in their lives. each small hardship overcome, is a special life milestone. it does not have to be big in the eyes of the world, but if ends up giving you joy, it is big. i salute you all.
having overcome and conquered many hurdles in my life, my latest ‘special lfe milestone’ is opening up an upmarket fashion store at the age of 61. i have never been in business before, but when the opportunity presented itself, i grabbed it with all that was within me.
the process is so hard and yet so fulfilling. i am learning things about myself and my abilities that i truly would not have imagined a few years back. even if the ends up being my only success, i will be eternally grateful. for it.

  8. Marry someone that loves adventure as much as I do!!! Make as many memories together ….. this milestone achieved, now we can start the second phase….. start a family and memories with little ones…..

  9. the woman I was 15 years ago is not the woman I am today. Im a single mom who raised her soon to be daughter all on her own. I met my passion about 9 years ago and that was to empower women. on a weekly basis I meet the most amazing women and all I want to do I give back and connect those women with strong and influential females. The last 14 years has definitely been a milestone to me in every sense of the word. From being a Normal person. I grew and developed myself and today I can step onto platforms delivering keynote presentations, facilitate training courses, deliver motivational talks, Board of directors of 3 companies, managing director & founder of my own company.
I attended one of the fashion shows #stylesociety at one & only and found immense value in the fashion trends showcased on the day.
Thank you kumari for sharing your passion with us. #stylesociety
Thank you nomination for allowing us to capture our special moments. #nomination

my Special Life Milestones was the day I got engaged – exactly 10 years after we met, then arranging the wedding for exactly 11 years after we met!!! amazing life milestones that my fiance fitted in perfectly to coincide with our special date,. he had worked out when the 17th would fall on a saturday so that we could get married on our 11th anniversary of being together. So romantic and this nomination bracelet would look so beautiful on my wedding day.

  13. One of my biggest life achIEvements, Is the birth of My boys.
At five months Pregnant, I was home alone and the crowbar gang burst through our front door. I was in my room and luckily my door was locked. They tried to bust my door down and I screamed at them to get out Of my house. I pressed our alarm and called my parents, since my husband was out of town.
I was so relieved when the police arrived. UnfortunatEly, I went into early labour due to the traumatic experience and I was given steroids to stop the labour.
I gave birth a few months later at full term.
I am so thankful for the experience as it made me stronger and more appreciative of my life and my boys life.

My special life milestone was definitely last year april when i hit the big 90!!!!!!!
It was once of the most special moments of my life because I had all 3 my daughters joining me for this momentous occasion, we had a high tea which was awesome, but the best part of this milestone was being able to spend time with my daughters as we are all spread far apart and they all made an effort to be there with me and celebrate with me, bring on the 100th!!!!

  15. MY Special Life Milestone:

The dAY MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN, MY MIRACLE FROM GOD
I lost 6 babies, the one dying when I was almost 5 months pregnant. I lost a twin with my precious daughter, who is our miracle baby because we were told we would never have children. I had endometriosis, cysts on my ovaries and I never ovulated, but by the Grace of God, I have a beautiful 26 year old daughter, she was a threatened miscarriage and after I lost her twin at 3 months I had to have bed rest. I had so many doctors appointments and scans because I kept bleeding. But she clung on and survived, born 3 and half weeks early weighing 3.2kg. It is so painful to lose a baby, seeing a healthy baby on a scan one month and then no heartbeat on the next scan is heartbreaking. I miscarried 4, the other 2 never came away and I had to have them delivered in hospital. My last pregnancy I was not on medical aid and luckily I work for a doctor so the gynae down the passage checked me regularly and tried everything to save my baby but eventually my placenta started tearing and the baby was not growing, I did not miscarry so the gynae gave me pills to induce labour seeing as I was not on medical aid. I went into full labour at midnight and my baby came away at 8am in the morning. The pain in unbearable and the longing to hold them will be with me forever, they are my Angels in Heaven BUT I HAVE MY DAUGHTER WHO IS GOING TO HAVE HER OWN WONDERFUL MILESTONE THIS YEAR IN MARCH – SHE IS GETTING MARRIED!!!!

  16. so far my life boat sailed on mostly calm waters.
