Pleats Please by Issey Miyake – The Scent that moves you

Pleats Please, the fragrance is named after Issey Miyake’s signature collection of pleated fabrics introduced just over a decade ago.

The Pleats Please collection, created by the influential Japanese designer was based on an innovative pleating process that was the first of its kind with pleats as a structural element in bright haute colors that follow the movements of the body.

Pleats Please is a joyful, optimistic and exuberant fragrance of “vertically pleated” flowery, fruity and woody structure. Its opening splashes of Asian hybrid fruit Nashi, generated by crossing apples and pears. The heart symbolizes femininity with floral accords of peony and sweet pea, while Indole molecule provides freshness and vigor to the composition.

I love the fresh, bursting mix of floral and fruity. Notes of pear, peony and sweetpea at first spritz, and the musky-vanilla dry down is very uplifting. It’s a fragrance that stays all day – a good 8 hours on me. A delightful concoction  that works perfectly for me. It has such great presence that I was amazed to receive a compliment every single time I wore this fragrance.
