I absolutely love this quote and was moved to share it with you – my beautiful tribe of authentic souls. So often, we go through life seeking validation from people. It is our innate need to belong, conform and find acceptance. But I am here to tell you that you don’t need to be loved and accepted by everyone.

You are enough. Stay true to who you are because those who were meant to be a part of your journey will find you. Always celebrate your uniqueness because those are the qualities that define you. Staying authentic to your soul’s purpose will bring you closer to your tribe. Your tribe are the people who are drawn to your light and not made uncomfortable by it. You illuminate their lives as they do yours. These are your people! Go on and find them.

How old are you? Fabulous 40 🙂
What is the last thing in your Google search history? Hussein Bazaza SS17
What kind of person were you in high school? Extremely shy but fearless! And a non-conformist – I still am.
How did your career get started? I have always had a love for fashion that borders on obsession. Eight years ago, I made a career shift from the corrosion engineering industry to a fashion entrepreneur. Fashion has always been my calling.
What is your favourite driving music? Luurve Tupac Shakur! & mostly 90s Hip Hop.
What are some new hobbies you would like to take on? I don’t have much time for hobbies, but after a 20-year break, I’ve picked up on my painting again. I’ve spent many winter days sitting next to a toasty fire, messing around with my paintbrushes.
If there was a phrase that you think best sums up your approach to life, what might it be? “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” – Napoleon Hill. I live with gratitude and embrace my challenges. My glass is always half full.
Which of your body parts do you feel the most affection for? My heart. It’s filled with gratitude, compassion and love.
What snack food can you not live without? Why? Toasted coconut flakes. Why? You have to taste to understand.
Describe your favourite outfit of all time and how you feel when you wear it? A Carrie Bradshaw moment in my pink Tsotetsi KL ball gown skirt! I love it when her iconic style statements find resonance in my wardrobe.
What’s the last thing you bought online? Groceries.
