Style Tips for Women Entrepreneurs
#1 Invest in Good Basics
– a beautifully tailored suit that screams I have arrived!
– well fitted pencil skirts that take you from the office to after work cocktails with ease
– little black dress for those evening events when they do come up
#2 An insider Style Tip in the fashion world is ‘Alteration’
Find a good tailor or seamstress. Have your pants dropped at the waist and your jackets adjusted so that they look made to order giving you a more streamlined snug silhouette. Designer-dressmakers and contemporary tailors have become the ultimate personal luxury offering next level craftsmanship and quality.
#3 Buy Less and Choose Well
Buy less frequently and get more usage out of your garments. Be informed. Make brands accountable by asking the right questions. Support slow sustainable design and where possible support local designers. Support sustainable design and Ask questions. Make brands accountable. I am an advocate of “Quality over Quantity”, and this translates into my wardrobe.
When making purchases look at your fabric choice – look at the cut and choose quality fabrics.
