How gorgeous was Dolce and Gabanna’s collection, inspired by the mosaic of Monreale, showcased at Milan Fashion Week? Their instagram feed left me breathless! The collection evoked a vintage, religious vibe with an artistic creation of mosaics on shoes, dresses, jewels and bags.
The collection included lots of “A-line” and hourglass shapes, with fabrics like wool and silk organza, brocade, double-stretch crepe and lace. I especially loved the Queen-style golden crowns and the Gold filigree bustier (dedicated to Saint Agatha, see above) that were encrusted and embellished with stones and mosaic. The collection also featured gorgeous accessories like the Agata and filgiree bags and shoes with filigree and inlaid-mosaic sculpted heels.
The highlight for me was the Finale of Red lace dresses enriched with embroideries and precious stones.
