Daniel Wellington Rose Gold Wonder

Introducing my Daniel Wellington Rose Gold Wonder. When we think of a watch, the word customization doesn’t often come to mind! Most of us are content with ‘investment’ pieces that cost hefty sums of money and bring the distinction of a big brand to our persona.

Even though I love a 201 carat Chopard as much as the next woman :), I also am a huge fan of simplicity and minimalism. And both sentiments are fabulously crafted into the form and style of a Daniel Wellington.

The $200 Million Sleeper Hit:
Daniel Wellington has always maintained a low profile. But the company is worth $200 million, which says a lot about its buyer base. DW fans are evangelists for life. They believe Daniel Wellington pieces go with just about anything and are an integral part of their day to day activities. Just drop by the site, and you are greeted with real images clicked by bona fide users. Apparently, the watches complement everything – from blueberry pies to date night with bae.

My Latest Acquisition:
Rose Gold Jewellery makes me go weak in the knees. And large bold dial faces have always been my particular penchant. So imagine my delight when I saw this classic from Daniel Wellington. There are many reasons to fall in love with DW, but the first thing that comes to mind is the ease of use.

That sounds a little confusing, right? After all, watches are simple.
You see, not quite. The more I look around, the more I see expensive timepieces were ‘telling time’ seems to have the least priority. There are only four markings around the dial, and the ornate hands further obscure what little is visible. DW sets the equation right with crystal bright, beautiful and prominent etchings that take you back to the era of pocket watches. It allows a busy woman to stick to her schedule without needing to figure what ‘O clock is going to chime next!

Then there are the interchangeable straps. Who doesn’t want to team accessories with outfits and that too without spending extra? Daniel Wellington offers users the choice of going with classic NATO straps in blue, red and white or elegant leather ones in a range of primary hues. Since I am not really a stripes girl, I opted for the blue variant. The patterns cover a pretty extensive range of preferences.
